Temple Emanuel of the Pascack Valley is a vibrant and leading Conservative synagogue of approximately 500 families located in Woodcliff Lake, NJ, just 30 minutes outside of New York City. We serve neighboring towns in the Pascack and Saddle River Valley regions of Bergen County on our beautiful 16-acre property. Despite the enormous challenges these past two years we have a strong membership, and have continued to provide, uninterrupted, all worship, educational and social outreach programming for our devoted congregants. We are home to an award winning and nationally recognized Religious School which is located in the newly dedicated Leah Mactas Learning Center at Temple Emanuel and has historically received strong support from our congregation. We pride ourselves on the ability of our teachers and school leadership to integrate all facets of Jewish learning with social and community activities resulting in our recognition as one of the leading Jewish educational programs in the country. In addition, there is strong commitment for our Religious School from our highly motivated and talented clergy. Rabbi Loren Monosov has served as our Rabbi since 2016 and plays a vital role as an inspirational leader and an advisor to our educational programming. She has strived to integrate and connect social and community awareness as a fundamental component of a Jewish education. Cantor Alan Sokoloff has been with Temple Emanuel since 2015. His energy, creativity and warmth has been an indispensable part of our young scholar’s experience before, during, and after Bar/Bat Mitzvah. The devotion and commitment to excellence by all of our leadership towards our Jewish educational programming proved to have an invaluable role in providing a sense of community, connectivity, and self-esteem for our students.
